Ann was invited to share her knowledge and experience of Designing out Crime, with students from a variety of backgrounds attending the first Secured by Design ( SBD ) “Diploma in Crime Prevention” training course this week.
She introduced them to “A DOCOs Perspective of Collaborative Working and Consultation with Stakeholders”. Incorporating an overview of the role of Local Planning Authority and Regeneration Departments. Then the class conducted a Crime Prevention Design Critique of a mixed-use regeneration scheme in London. The scheme was developed by the Lambeth Council in consultation with a variety of stakeholders to provide a high yield of affordable housing and significant community benefit.
